The East Feliciana Parish Police Jury is the foundation of our Parish government. The Police Jury is consistently striving to make our parish a better and safer place to live. The Police Jury is the mechanism behind the scenes that ensures our community and way of life can be enjoyed from day to day. They are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of approximately 315 miles of parish roads and bridges, enforcing parish ordinances, and providing a host of local services.
***The GUSTAV Overlay Project is progressing. Castello Road, Turner Road, Tommy James Lane and McCoy Byrnes Road have been overlaid. The contractor is working on Beech Grove Road and will soon move to Norwood Wilson Road, Williams Drive (Wilson), Gross Road and Nesom Road. Residents are advised that alternate routes may have to be used while the contractor is on their road, since the roads are being overlaid in one pass. As soon as the contractor gives the parish the go-a-head, parish personnel will dress the shoulders and any driveways requiring work. PLEASE refrain from the temptation of speeding on the newly resurfaced roads. The speed limit on parish blacktop roads is 35 MPH.
